It brings a smile…

In Lacunza-ih, we have been offering our 8-12 year old students the opportunity to participate in Theatre Club for several years now.

Under the guidance of a teacher, the children create a story, write the dialogue, make the props and scenery and prepare the costumes. After a few months, they perform their play on stage at a Theatre Club Festival.

Following on from the success of these clubs for kids, we have opened two new Theatre Club groups for the first time; one in English for over 18 year olds and another in French for adults and adolescents. After about 12 hours of preparation, the English group performed a series of sketches in a local café bar. The French group will present a version of the famous French comedy «Dinner of Fools» by Francis Veber within the next four months.

We are convinced that this fun, stimulating activity is a valuable complement to the study of any language. It’s a rewarding experience for both teachers and participants and it brings a smile to the faces of family and friends.
